Steelers' Mike Tomlin Reportedly 'Really Likes' Shedeur Sanders Ahead of NFL Draft
Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin "really likes" Shedeur Sanders, should the Colorado quarterback still be available at No. 21, per Todd McShay of The McShay Show.
"I am told...Mike Tomlin really likes Shedeur. If he's there at 21, Shedeur could very well be a Pittsburgh Steeler," McShay said (11:40 mark). "If Aaron Rodgers is there I don't think that one would have to do with the other. Two different elements to this; Aaron Rodgers to win games now (and) drafting Shedeur Sanders, if he's there at 21, would be to finally get the solution at the most important position for the long term."

The Steelers are thin at quarterback, with Mason Rudolph and Skylar Thompson currently the only signal-callers on the roster. Uncertainty also remains around Aaron Rodgers’ future, as the former Jets quarterback has yet to choose a landing spot.
On April 2, Steelers owner Art Rooney II said at the NFL's annual league meeting that the team "is hearing" veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers is "headed in our direction," per ESPN's Brooke Pryor and Kevin Seifert.
"We keep getting positive sort of signals about it," Rooney said, per Pryor and Seifert. "So yeah, I'd say we feel pretty good about it at this point."
Despite this, the Steelers would still need a long-term solution at quarterback if they sign the 41-year-old.
According to McShay, Sanders is projected to either land with the New York Giants at No. 3 or potentially slide to the Pittsburgh Steelers at No. 21.
