Raiders Drafting QB Round 1 Would Reportedly 'Surprise' NFL Teams Amid Shedeur Visit
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the Las Vegas Raiders drafting a quarterback with their No. 6 pick would "surprise" NFL teams amid expected visit with Colorado's Shedeur Sanders.
"The Raiders are getting that last minute information, but I still think to people across the league, it would surprise them if the Raiders went quarterback in Round 1,'" Schefter said on NFL Live.
NFL Network's Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport reported that Sanders is meeting with the Raiders on Monday ahead of the first round of the NFL Draft on April 24.

Jaguars' Hypothetical Alvin Kamara Trade Offer
In the latest NFL mock draft, the Bleacher Report Scouting Department projected Sanders to be selected by the New Orleans Saints with the No. 9 pick, making him the second quarterback off the board behind projected No. 1 pick Cam Ward.
The Scouting Department has the Raiders selecting Michigan cornerback Will Johnson at No. 6, especially after signing veteran quarterback Geno Smith to a two-year, $75 million contract extension.
"Geno Smith's acquisition prevents the Raiders from needing a quarterback and automatically taking Shedeur Sanders," B/R's Matt Holder said. "Instead, the defense gets the potential No. 1 corner that it has been searching for over the last few years."
"Michigan'sย Will Johnsonย immediately assumes that status in Las Vegas and adds much-needed talent to a defensive backfield that lost three Week 1 startersโNate Hobbs, Tre'von Moehrig and Marcus Eppsโin free agency."ย
The 2025 NFL Draft will kick off on April 24 and conclude on April 26.
