Full List of Texas Players Drafted in Each Round of 2025 NFL Draft

Paul KasabianApr 24, 2025

Texas has gone to the College Football Playoff semifinal in back-to-back seasons. It's no surprise that this program is full of potential NFL talents, and that's the case again in 2025.

The Longhorns have a trio of prospects that came into the draft as potential first-round prospects on paper.

Cornerback Jahdae Barron is ranked 12th overall on the B/R NFL Scouting Department big board, and he's third among cornerbacks behind only Colorado's Travis Hunter and Michigan's Will Johnson.

Barron had a tremendous year, amassing 67 tackles (46 solo), 11 pass breakups and five interceptions. The 5'11", 194-pound cornerback was called a "highly versatile player who is used in an almost limitless way at Texas" per a B/R scouting report from Cory Giddings. That versatility could certainly help him in the pros.

On the opposite side of the ball, the Longhorns have a player who some considered the potential top wide receiver (outside the two-way star in Hunter) in Matthew Golden, the former University of Houston Cougar who made a big impact after transferring.

Golden caught 58 passes for 987 yards and nine touchdowns. He was one of the driving forces of the Texas offense thanks largely to his tremendous speed, which was showcased in the NFL Scouting Combine (4.29-second 40-yard dash).

And then there's offensive lineman Kelvin Banks Jr.

In a year where it's not hard to find quality offensive line talent, Banks stands out. He's one of nine offensive linemen ranking in the top 50 prospects overall this year, per the B/R NFL Scouting Department.

The 6'5", 315-pound prospect is a seasoned left tackle, making 42 starts there at Texas. He was an Associated Press first-team All-Big 12 member in 2023 before delivering again in 2024, earning consensus All-American honors while winning the Outland Trophy and Lombardi Award too.

And with that, here's a look at where they all landed alongside a host of Longhorn teammates who count the NFL as their next stop.
