Eagles' Dallas Goedert Reportedly 'Subject of Trade Talks' Ahead of 2025 NFL Draft
Dallas Goedert "has been the subject of trade talks" since winning Super Bowl LIX with the Philadelphia Eagles, according to ESPN's Tim McManus.
The tight end's past injuries, his age and the money remaining on his contract have led the Eagles to consider a trade, per McManus.
Goedert turned 30 in January. He is under contract for one more season with a cap hit of about $11.7 million, per Over the Cap.

Jaguars' Hypothetical Alvin Kamara Trade Offer
McManus previously reported that "money is at the root" of the Eagles' potential decision to move on from Goedert, and that the reigning Super Bowl champions are "making some tough choices this offseason on contributors with sizable salaries who haven't been identified as core options moving forward."
"Outside of him taking a pay cut, it's hard to envision Goedert returning to Philly in 2025," McManus wrote earlier this month.
Goedert was limited to 10 games last season after suffering a knee injury in Week 13. He has missed 15 total games over the last two seasons after suffering injuries including a fractured shoulder in 2022 and broken forearm in 2023.
When available, he has consistently been one of the Eagles' top passing targets, including when he recorded a team-high 215 receiving yards in four playoff games en route to the Super Bowl win.
But the Eagles declined from 2018 to 2020 after keeping together the roster that won Super Bowl LII after the 2017 season. As Eagles general manager Howie Roseman said in February, per McManus: "As the cap gets tighter, as all our expensive players start becoming expensive, you have to go with young players."
The Eagles could still potentially renegotiate Goedert's contract in order to keep him in Philadelphia next season. If not, another team in search of a veteran tight end could be willing to give up some draft capital in order and take on Goedert's cap hit in the hope he will enjoy a healthy campaign next fall.
