Abdul Carter to Reportedly Visit Patriots Before NFL Draft amid Giants, Browns Rumors
Abdul Carter is visiting another team with a top pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
The Penn State edge rusher is traveling to Foxboro to meet with the New England Patriots on Monday, according to Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer.
Breer noted that Carter is only arranging Top 30 visits with the Tennessee Titans, Cleveland Browns, New York Giants and Patriots, who hold the top four picks in the upcoming draft.

2025 Draft Picks Ready For Leap 🐸

Jaguars' Hypothetical Alvin Kamara Trade Offer
Carter is listed as the No. 2 overall prospect on Bleacher Report's latest 2025 NFL Draft Big Board, ranked just behind Heisman Trophy winner and two-way star Travis Hunter.
The Titans, who have yet to acquire strong competition for Will Levis next season, have been increasingly tied to Miami quarterback Cam Ward with the No. 1 pick.
The Browns could also be seeking a quarterback given the multiple Achilles tears suffered by Deshaun Watson, raising the possibility they could pursue a signal caller like Ward or Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders.
That opens the possibility that a team like the Giants, who added a veteran duo in Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston this offseason, or Patriots, who are building a stronger offense around second-year quarterback Drake Maye, could snag a top non-quarterback prospect like Hunter or Carter.
These Top 30 visits could be especially important for Carter, given that he was sidelined at the NFL scouting combine due to a stress reaction in his foot and then missed out on his pro day due to the shoulder injury he suffered at the end of his last college season.
Carter's agent Drew Rosenhaus told ESPN's Adam Schefter last month that his client "may still do a workout for teams sometime in mid-April." Rosenhaus then told Schefter Thursday that Carter had undergone a medical examination with the Colts revealing "improvement" on the stress reaction in his foot.
The Patriots may now get the chance to make a similar evaluation of Carter's health on Monday. New England was one of the least effective teams in the NFL last season in terms of team pressure rate, and the team's pass rush could be immediately boosted with the addition of a healthy Carter.
