
Shedeur Sanders Dismisses Patting the Ball Issue, 'That Wasn't a Thing Before Pro Day'
Colorado quarterback and human lightning rod Shedeur Sanders responded to the ball pat heard 'round the world on Thursday.
"It's extremely fun. It's just funny to see what they come up with next," Sanders said of his critics. "At first it was that his arm wasn't strong—I had a lot of touchdowns in my college career. Then it was I pat the ball—that wasn't a thing before pro day. So, I don't get in trouble off the field, so it's kind of hard for them to create storylines for the media. Keep that [energy] going, though. It's just gonna be fun with the next story."
While the "ball pat" controversy seemed like much adieu over nothing, it surprisingly became quite the talking point among actual NFL players, current and former.
Time will tell if it negatively impacts Sanders at the next level. For the time being, he remains one of the more fascinating prospects to track, given the wide array of opinions regarding his game and upside
