Amanda Serrano Wears Headgear to Katie Taylor Faceoff After Headbutts in 2nd Fight
Wednesday's press conference hyping up the third boxing match between Amanda Serrano and Katie Taylor didn't lack drama, as the former fighter notably wore headgear for the staredown in reference to the multiple headbutts she took in their most previous bout.
Taylor landed multiple headbutts in the second match, which took place last November and resulted in a unanimous decision win.

"She kept headbutting me," Serrano said afterward (h/t ESPN's Nick Parkinson). "We knew from the first fight it's what she does. Not only my fight, she did it with Chantelle Cameron. She uses her head."
A cut above her eye emerged after a Round 4 headbutt. In Round 8, Taylor was deducted a point for "intentionally pushing her head into Serrano’s cut," per Keith Idec of Uncrowned.
Serrano brought those headbutts back to light during a press conference that also featured some heated remarks between the two.
Jake Paul also made an appearance. His Most Valuable Promotions is promoting the fight, and he led off with opening remarks.
Serrano vs. Taylor 3 will take place on July 11 in New York City's Madison Square Garden. Taylor is 2-0 against Serrano after also beating her opponent via split decision in April 2022 at Madison Square Garden.
