Nicolas Echavarria Wins Masters Par 3 Contest, Poppy McIlroy's Putt Among Top Videos
The first round of the Masters doesn't start until Thursday, but some of the top golfers in the world competed in the Par 3 Contest on Wednesday.
The fun tradition sees those competing in the Masters take the course for a handful of par threes, with their family members getting in on the action.
This year, Nicolas Echavarria took home the crown after beating JJ Spaun in a playoff after the two ended the round tied at five under. Echavarria will now look to be the first golfer ever to win both the Par 3 Contest and the Masters Tournament in the same year.

Of course, every golfer wants to take home the win in the Par 3 Contest, but the laid-back event gives everyone a chance to get loose and have some fun before a stressful weekend. It also makes for some priceless moments.
One of the best moments came when Poppy McIlroy, daughter of Rory, nailed a long putt on Hole 9.
There were some other great moments between golfers and their families throughout the day:
The Par 3 Contest means plenty of opportunities to pick up a hole-in-one, and several golfers did just that. Tom Hoge carded an ace at Hole 4 while Brooks Koepka and Keegan Bradley each got a hole-in-one at Hole 6.
Once the first round tees off on Thursday, things won't be quite as relaxed as they were during the Par 3 Contest, but the tradition makes for a great start to the weekend.
