Quinn Ewers Reportedly to Visit With Colts Amid Raiders Buzz Ahead of 2025 NFL Draft
Signing Daniel Jones to compete with Anthony Richardson may not mean the Indianapolis Colts are done building their quarterback room this offseason.
Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers is visiting the Colts just over two weeks ahead of the 2025 NFL draft, NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reported.
Ewers is listed as the No. 6 quarterback and No. 108 overall prospect available in the upcoming draft on the latest big board from B/R's NFL Scouting Department.

2025 Draft Picks Ready For Leap 🐸

Jaguars' Hypothetical Alvin Kamara Trade Offer
The Colts currently hold seven picks, including the No. 14, No. 45, No. 80 and No. 117 selections, per Tankathon.
Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer previously reported that Ewers is part of a large group of prospects, which also includes Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart and Ohio State quarterback Will Howard, visiting the Las Vegas Raiders on Tuesday and Wednesday.
He is set to fly from Las Vegas to Indianapolis late on Wednesday, then visit with the Colts on Thursday, per Breer.
Ewers also reportedly had a formal meeting with the Colts involving whiteboard work during the NFL scouting combine in February, per CBS Sports’ Aditi Kinkhabwala.
He also met with the Raiders, Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans, New York Jets, New Orleans Saints and Pittsburgh Steelers at the combine, Kinkhabwala reported.
Breer also previously reported that Ewers has a visit with the Dallas Cowboys scheduled for early April.
The Colts brought Jones to Indianapolis on a one-year, $14 million deal and the promise of competing for the QB1 job with Richardson, who is coming off of an inconsistent second NFL campaign during which he was briefly benched for Joe Flacco.
The two quarterbacks are currently set to split reps with the Colts' first-string offense during spring practices, according to ESPN's Stephen Holder.
Setting Jones (signed through 2025) and Richardson (signed through 2026, with a club option for 2027) to compete for the spot opens up the possibility that the Colts could again be seeking a starting quarterback ahead of the 2026 season.
By adding a quarterback prospect in the upcoming draft, the Colts could start working on developing another option in case their search for a long-term QB1 resumes next spring.
