Texas' Matthew Golden Reportedly Visiting Cowboys After Buccaneers Pre-draft Meeting
One of the top wide receivers in this year's draft class will reportedly meet with the Dallas Cowboys later this week.
Per Fox Sports' Jordan Schultz, Texas star receiver Matthew Golden is set to visit the Cowboys on Thursday. The meeting in Dallas comes after his visit with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Tuesday.
Golden, who started his career at Houston but spent the 2024 season with the Longhorns, recorded 987 receiving yards and nine touchdowns in his final campaign at Texas.

2025 Draft Picks Ready For Leap 🐸

Jaguars' Hypothetical Alvin Kamara Trade Offer
He impressed at the NFL combine, running a 4.29-second 40-yard dash, the second-fastest time overall and the fastest among wide receivers.
According to Schultz, some within Texas' organization called Golden a "natural leader, consistent worker and a big-game performer."
“I think Golden’s one of those guys who didn’t fully realize how good he could be until it started clicking," one college scouting director said, per Schultz. "Once he tasted success, he just kept working.”
The Cowboys, who have the No. 12 pick in this year's draft, could be the right fit for Golden. He could come in as the team's No. 2 or No. 3 option as a rookie while playing behind CeeDee Lamb, one of the best receivers in the game.
Bleacher Report's NFL Scouting Department lists Golden as the No. 21 overall player and the second-best wide receiver in this year's class, only behind Arizona's Tetairoa McMillan. In the latest mock draft from Bleacher Report, Golden is the 16th player off the board, landing with the Arizona Cardinals.
