Making Sense of 2026 NFL Draft's Worst Picks 😨
It's no surprise Golden got the invite to the draft. Such invites, of course, are reserved for well-regarded prospects projected to go in the first round, and that's likely where he's headed.
The latest B/R NFL Scouting Department mock draft has Golden going 16th overall to the Arizona Cardinals. Golden also ranks 22nd overall on the B/R NFL Scouting Department big board and third among wide receivers behind only Colorado two-way star Travis Hunter (should he play there in the NFL) and Arizona's Tetairoa McMillan.
The 5'11", 191-pound Golden has been a rising star in the pre-draft process, to the point where he's even been talked about as the potential first post-Hunter wideout off the board.
ESPN analyst Mike Tannenbaum, the New York Jets' ex-general manager, has notably been a huge fan of Golden's.
Golden really got people watching after his Combine workout, where he ran a 4.29-second 40-yard dash.
His speed, productivity and pro potential has people talking, and he probably won't have to wait long to hear his name called in Green Bay on April 24.
