Shedeur Sanders Sends Message to NFL Teams, Says 'You'll Be a Fool Not to Pick Me'
Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders offered a clear message to NFL teams on Friday, when he performed at his pro day just 20 days before the NFL draft kicks off. In essence, Sanders said on NFL Live that teams would "be a fool" to not select him.
Sanders' father, Colorado head coach and Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, also backed his son's pro prospects.

2025 Draft Picks Ready For Leap 🐸

Jaguars' Hypothetical Alvin Kamara Trade Offer
Regarding the elder Sanders' comments, his son does have the resume to show his ability to turn around programs, first at Jackson State (2021-2022) and then Colorado (2023-2024).
From 2014-2020, Jackson State didn't win more than five games in a single season. But under Sanders, the Tigers went 23-3 over his two campaigns, including a pair of SWAC titles.
In the year before Sanders' arrival at Colorado, the Buffaloes went 1-11. They improved to 4-8 in 2023 and then 9-4 last year, including the No. 25 spot in the final Associated Press poll.
Those teams, of course, were guided by superstar two-way athlete Travis Hunter, the reigning Heisman Trophy winner and a likely top-five choice in the NFL draft. But Sanders was excellent in his own right, notably accounting for 4,134 passing yards and 37 touchdowns this past season.
Sanders has had tremendous pressure on him throughout his collegiate career, in part because of the national attention his father commands. But he's fared quite well under that pressure and is clearly confident he'll be able to excel in the pros too.
