Travis Hunter to Browns, Tetairoa McMillan to Cowboys in Chad Reuter's NFL Mock Draft

Jack MurrayApr 4, 2025

Travis Hunter could be heading to the Cleveland Browns if Chad Reuter of NFL.com's latest mock draft comes to fruition.

Reuter mocked that the Browns would utilize the No. 2 pick in the draft on the two-way superstar and then waiting until the third round before securing quarterback Tyler Shough. Other notable mock picks included Shedeur Sanders to the New York Giants, Abdul Carter to the New England Patriots and wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan to the Dallas Cowboys.

Hunter is rated as the No. 1 overall player in the draft class by Bleacher Report's NFL Scouting Department. He is the reigning Heisman Trophy winner and just capped off a fantastic collegiate career.

Hunter had 96 catches for 1,258 yards and 15 touchdowns in 2024 while also adding 36 tackles, 11 pass deflections and four interceptions. He was a two-time All-American in his career and could potentially impact his future team on both offense and defense.

The Browns went 3-14 in 2024 but had gone 11-6 in 2023 and reached the postseason. The team had significant struggles at quarterback last season as Deshaun Watson, Jameis Winston, Dorian Thompson-Robinson and Bailey Zappe all started games.

While adding a top quarterback could be intriguing, taking the top overall player and landing a developmental quarterback in Shough is a solid option for the Browns as well.

Reuter's mock also had McMillan going to the Cowboys at 12 and he would get to serve as the No. 2 receiver alongside CeeDee Lamb. He is rated as the No. 1 pure wide receiver and No. 6 overall player in the draft by Bleacher Report's NFL Scouting Department.

He had 84 catches for 1,319 yards and eight touchdowns in 2024 for Arizona. He was named an All-American for his efforts.

Dallas went 7-10 in 2024 and missed the playoffs for the first time since 2020. McMillan could be an extra weapon for quarterback Dak Prescott and take some pressure off of Lamb as the Cowboys hope to return to contention.

The 2025 NFL Draft is set for April 24-26 in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
