Following a new extension for Cal Raleigh, the Seattle Mariners teased a giveaway for the catcher's bobblehead.

The team revealed a bobblehead called the "Platinum Dumper" on social media on Thursday and hinted that Raleigh's bobblehead would be available next Monday through Wednesday during the Mariners series against the Houston Astros.

Raleigh earned the nickname "Big Dumper" a few years ago from his former teammate Jarred Kelenic. When Raleigh was called up to the majors in 2021, Kelnic congratulated him on social media and revealed the nickname to fans.

"Big dumper to the show," he posted.

According to The Athletic's Corey Brock, Kelnic coined the nickname, a reference to Raleigh's backside, while they were in the minors together in 2020. Once Kelnic revealed the nickname on social media, it became a hit, leading to the Mariners releasing "Big Dumper" T-shirts and jerseys.

Now, the hilarious nickname has stuck with Raleigh for almost five years, even though the person who gave it to him is now with the Atlanta Braves.

Raleigh, 28, inked a six-year, $105 million contract extension with the Mariners last week, keeping him in Seattle for the long term.

"Cal is central to so much of what we do as a team," Mariners president of baseball operations Jerry Dipoto said in a statement after the signing. "His leadership on the field combined with elite defense and impact offense is rare among catchers in the game. We are fortunate that he's a Mariner and thrilled that he's here for the long haul."

Along with his first Platinum Glove Award in 2024, Raleigh hit .220/.312/.436 with 34 home runs and 100 RBI. The "Big Dumper" will look to continue that success this season.
