Dart to Steelers, Jeanty to Cowboys in Field Yates, Mina Kimes 2025 NFL Mock Draft
Some of the most electric offensive players in college football in 2024 could hear their names called during the first round of April's 2025 NFL Draft.
In Monday's episode of The Mina Kimes Show, ESPN's Field Yates and Mina Kimes conducted their War Room Mock Draft 1.0. Among the results, they had Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty going 12th to the Dallas Cowboys and Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart going 21st to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Jaguars' Hypothetical Alvin Kamara Trade Offer
For Jeanty, Yates expressed his belief that Jeanty could fill a major need for the team and that the deep nature of the running back class does not hinder his value as he is the most likely to be a star as a rookie.
"There is such a desperate need at running back for Dallas," Yates said. "None of their veteran signings this offseason suggest to me that they are done....for a team that wants to become competitive again next season, Ashton Jeanty is the clear rookie who has the fastest path to a Pro Bowl season as a rookie in this class."
Jeanty was the Heisman runner-up in 2024 after a sensational season that saw him dash for 2,601 yards and 29 touchdowns. He is rated as the No. 8 overall player and the No. 1 running back in the draft class by Bleacher Report's NFL Scouting Department.
For the Steeler's pick, Yates cited the uncertainty with the viability of signing Aaron Rodgers and the lack of other proven quarterbacks on the roster as reasons why he would go to Pittsburgh.
"He is one of those guys where, on the best moments, I see the really good from Jaxson Dart," Yates said. "I'm not fully convicted on him as a clear-cut, top-20 player in the class, but at 21 in their situation, I'm going with Jaxson Dart."
He would be the third quarterback taken in the draft in this scenario as they had Cam Ward going No. 1 to the Tennessee Titans and Shedeur Sanders going No. 3 to the New York Giants. Dart is rated as the No. 58 overall player and the No. 4 quarterback by Bleacher Report's NFL Scouting Department.
The 2025 NFL Draft is set for April 24-26 in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
