Cam to Titans, Shedeur to Giants in Field Yates, Mina Kimes 'War Room' NFL Mock Draft
Two quarterbacks could go in the first three picks in one of ESPN's latest mock drafts.
On Monday's episode of The Mina Kimes Show, ESPN's Field Yates and Mina Kimes released their "War Room Mock Draft 1.0" ahead of April's 2025 NFL Draft. In this first prediction, the two experts had the Tennessee Titans selecting Ward with the first overall pick and the New York Giants selecting Sanders with the No. 3 pick.

Jaguars' Hypothetical Alvin Kamara Trade Offer
For the first pick, Yates had the Titans selecting Ward and attributed it to their affinity for the player over the dire positional need.
"This team is hyper-focused on Cam Ward and has been for quite some time," Yates said. "They think he has some magic to him, some true No. 1 pick abilities."
Yates also described Ward as the "true blue" quarterback in the draft and that he could be a "centerpiece" for the team's offense. He is rated as the No. 9 player and the No. 1 quarterback available in the draft class by Bleacher Report's NFL Scouting Department.
The Titans went 3-14 in 2024 and quarterback Mason Rudolph departed in free agency. 2023 second-round pick Will Levis is still on the roster and the team has added Brandon Allen and Tim Boyle in free agency. Still, Ward would have the most upside and Yates believes the team will look to capitalize on that.
He predicted the Cleveland Browns would select edge rusher Abdul Carter with the second pick. When it came to the Giants pick, Yates leaned towards Sanders over two-way star Travis Hunter.
"This evaluation is going to involve all levels of the organization," Yates said. "While Travis Hunter is a clearly better prospect but I am uninspired by what Russell Wilson brings to the table for a team that plays in a division with unequivocally two of the best quarterbacks in the NFC."
Yates said that the evaluation will be influenced by Sanders' pro day. He is rated as the No. 18 prospect and the No. 2 quarterback by Bleacher Report's NFL Scouting Department.
The 2025 NFL Draft is set for April 24-26 in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
