Shedeur Sanders Will Have Dinner With Browns This Week Amid 2025 NFL Draft Rumors
Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski confirmed to reporters on Monday that the team will have dinner with Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders this week ahead of April's NFL draft.
"Throwing live is another piece of this. It's a small piece, but a pice of it. Getting around him, getting dinner, is important," Stefanski said. "But then, the whole process and getting in, listening to what the coaches, the rest of the scouts, how they see the entire draft board. Certainly I think Shedeur is someone who has done a really nice job throughout this whole process."

2025 Draft Picks Ready For Leap ๐ธ

Jaguars' Hypothetical Alvin Kamara Trade Offer
The Browns have a number of options with the No. 2 pick, and drafting Sandersโassuming the Tennessee Titans don't select himโis among them given the team's need for a franchise quarterback.
The could also go with his former teammate, two-way star Travis Hunter, or Penn State edge-rusher Abdul Carter. They could trade back in the draft and stockpile picks for the future. Or they could trade up to No. 1 to select a player like Miami quarterback Cam Ward, though general manager Andrew Berry pretty much ruled out that possibility on Sunday.
Sanders, meanwhile, has divided opinion throughout the draft cycle, with most big boards having him behind Ward. The B/R NFL Scouting Department, for instance, considers him the No. 18 prospect at this year's draft. Daniel Jeremiah of NFL Network has him ranked at the exact same spot.
ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr., on the other hand, is higher on Sanders, ranking him No. 5 overall (and one spot above Ward).
It only takes one NFL team to love Sanders for him to be off the board quickly, and it remains possible that team ends up being the Browns. Given that Deshaun Watson has been a complete bust in Cleveland (and will miss much of the season due to injury anyway) and Kenny Pickett is nothing more than a bridge quarterback, addressing the position would make a great deal of sense.
The Browns are certainly doing their due diligence in that process.
