Dolphins' Tyreek Hill Responds to Trade Speculation Involving 2025 NFL Draft

Tyreek Hill and the Miami Dolphins seemingly patched things up after a rough ending to the season, but the star wide receiver posted some cryptic emojis in response to trade speculation on Sunday.

Hill posted a handful of cryptic posts responding to trade speculation.

After the Dolphins' season ended in January, Hill made it clear he didn't want to be in Miami in 2025.

"I'm out. It was great playing here, but at the end of the day, I gotta do what's best for my career, because I'm too much of a competitor to be just out there," Hill told reporters.

He later said that his comments came out of a place of frustration.

"What y'all had heard at the end of the season was frustration," Hill said while streaming a video game, per ESPN's Marcel Louis-Jacques. "I've been winning my whole life, bruh. Y'all don't understand, I bust my ass every day -- I deserve to feel like that, I deserve to have some kind of opinion. Y'all just want me to say, 'Oh well, get 'em next year?' Nah, f--k that. We've got to come back, we got to put some pressure on motherf--kers. Y'all got to fix this s--t, come on. Add some motherf--kin' dogs in this b---h. I compete, I love to compete, bruh."

Hill then said that he takes "full accountability" for the comments and said he plans to return to Miami in 2025.

Hill has been pretty clear with his words so far this offseason, but it's hard to determine what he's thinking after the cryptic posts.

Hill, 31, had a season to forget in 2024 with just 959 receiving yards and six touchdowns. It was the first time he failed to reach 1,000 or more yards while playing a full season since his rookie year.

His struggles weren't entirely on him as Miami's starting quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa, played in just 11 games. The Dolphins' offense as a whole struggled tremendously without him.

After Sunday's posts, it's fair for fans to wonder whether Hill will request a trade and whether the Dolphins would honor that request. While Hill is consistently one of the best wide receivers in the game, he's getting older, as he turned 31 on March 1.

A trade would give Miami the chance to get some assets in return for a potentially disgruntled star.
