Nick Sirianni Jokes Former Eagles Coaches 'Better' Vote Against Tush Push Rule Change
Ahead of the upcoming vote on the proposal to ban the "Tush Push," Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni is confident that he should have at least three supporters who will follow his lead in voting against the rule change.
Sirianni joked that the former Eagles coordinators who are now head coaches are obligated to stand by the famous play that helped Philadelphia reach new heights over the last few years, including defeating the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX.
"We’ll see how it goes. All I will say about it is [Jonathan] Gannon, [Shane] Steichen and [Kellen] Moore better vote for it," Sirianni said with a grin, per NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. "They are in the [head coach] position right now because of that play. So all three, I better have those three votes right there and the Eagles’ vote. I at least know we have four."

Jaguars' Hypothetical Alvin Kamara Trade Offer
The Green Bay Packers proposed to ban the Tush Push as part of the league's annual submissions for rule changes. Mark Maske of the Washington Post reported on Tuesday that "it's unclear" whether the proposal will get the 24 out of 32 votes needed for approval, adding that the "sentiment is mixed" within the NFL competition committee regarding the potential ban.
It appears that Sirianni won't have much to worry about, but it doesn't hurt to remind his former staff members of where their loyalty should lie.
