Todd McShay Says Jaxson Dart 'Has Some Josh Allen In His Game' Ahead of 2025 NFL Draft
The Ringer's Todd McShay sees some crossover between Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart and reigning NFL MVP Josh Allen.
McShay broke down the top QBs in the 2025 NFL draft class Wednesday on his podcast. Regarding Dart, he said the Rebels star "has got some Josh Allen in his game."

Final Consensus NFL Mock Draft 📝
The draft expert said the similarities aren't physical because the 6'2" Dart lacks Allen's size and strength. The overlap comes with how they react in the pocket.
"Why I'm saying that is there's this like suddenness when pressure's coming—and it jumped out over and over on tape—pressure's coming [and] it's not 'oh s--t,'" McShay said. "… There's no sense of panic ever in his game, except those three terrible plays at the end of the year."
Dart threw for 4,279 yards and 29 touchdowns while leading the FBS in passer rating (180.7) as a senior. He also ran for 495 yards and three scores.
Still, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler spoke to an NFC executive in February who described Lane Kiffin's offense as a "mess" for quarterbacks moving on to the next level. Fowler added the Dart looked "uncomfortable calling plays in the huddle and taking snaps under center" at the Senior Bowl.
The prolific passer is the No. 58 overall prospect and fourth-ranked quarterback on Bleacher Report's 2025 big board. Nevertheless, McShay probably isn't the only one who sees major potential in the first-team All-SEC honoree if he can put it all together.
With a dearth of good QBs available this year, Dart might manage to sneak into the first round.
