Cowboys' CeeDee Lamb Reacts to NFL Rule Change Banning 'Nose Wipe' Celebration
The NFL outlawed the "nose wipe" gesture on Wednesday, classifying it among the "violent gesture" celebrations that will result in a 15-yard unsportsmanlike penalty.
Dallas Cowboys CeeDee Lamb, who has utilized the "nose wipe" as one of his signature celebrations, reacted to the news on social media:
The NFL has long been dubbed the "No Fun League" by those critical of its restrictions on celebrations and trash talk, and Wednesday's rule change brought about the same sort of criticism on social media:
Lamb, 25, has had his fair share of celebratory moments during his NFL career, with four Pro Bowl berths and one first-team All-Pro selection to his name in his five seasons. He's now caught 100 or more passes in three straight seasons, recorded 1,000 or more receiving yards in four straight campaigns and has 38 career touchdowns.
That hasn't led to much postseason success for the star wideout and his team, but there's little doubt that Lamb is one of the NFL's most dangerous weapons. Now, he'll have to show off some of his creative flair to uncover a new celly.
