NFL Draft 2025 Odds: Cam Ward Favored for No. 1 Pick Amid Abdul Carter's Post
Abdul Carter may envision himself as the future No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft, but Cam Ward is still the favorite to hear his name called first.
The Miami quarterback has the best odds at -700 to be the top draft choice, via DraftKings Sportsbook. Carter owns the second-best odds at +380.
The Penn State pass-rusher made it clear that he viewed himself as the No. 1 pick in a social media post on Monday, though.

Report: Lawrence Wants Out of NY

Re-Drafting Every Team's Worst Draft Pick of the Century 😡
Travis Hunter at +1200, Shedeur Sanders at +3500 and Jaxson Dart with +4000 odds round out the top five players that the Tennessee Titans could select with the top draft choice.
Ward completed 67.2 percent of his throws for 4,313 yards with the Hurricanes last season, leading the country with 39 touchdown passes while getting picked off just seven times.
Carter is also coming off a stellar senior year at Penn State, racking up 68 tackles, 24 tackles for loss, 12 sacks and two forced fumbles.
ESPN's Jeremy Fowler and Turron Davenport spoke with "dozens" of league personnel at the scouting combine in Indianapolis, with the consensus belief that Tennessee's options with the No. 1 pick will be "Ward, Carter and trading out of the top spot."
Still, the need for a quarterback could be too much for the Titans to pass up on with the top draft choice. Tennessee is coming off a dismal 3-14 finish in 2024, as starting signal-caller Will Levis threw 13 touchdown passes compared to 12 interceptions and was briefly benched in favor of Mason Rudolph.
Fowler reported Monday that Ward is "very likely" headed to the Titans at No. 1.
Tennessee was also projected to add the former Miami passer in the latest mock draft from Bleacher Report's NFL Scouting Department, while Carter was selected with the No. 4 pick.
The first round of the 2025 NFL draft will begin on April 24.
