NFL Draft Rumors: Teams Think Cam Ward 'Very Likely' Going to Titans at No. 1 Overall
Miami's Cam Ward is "very likely" to be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft, with the Tennessee Titans expected to select him.
"As all of these teams ascend on Miami for this pro day, many of the ones that I've spoken also understand that Cam Ward is very likely going to the Tennessee Titans with that first pick," ESPN's Jeremy Fowler said on SportsCenter. "It feels like it's headed very much in that direction. ... Teams still doing their due diligence on Cam, in case something goes different or crazy here, that teams are ready to pounce on him if he becomes available."

The Titans also took Ward out to dinner on Sunday, with several of the team's higher-ups in attendance at Miami Hurricanes' pro day, including vice president Chad Brinker, head coach Brian Callahan and others, per Pro Football Talk's Charean Williams.
In his senior season with the Miami Hurricanes, Ward threw for 4,313 yards, 39 touchdowns and seven interceptions.
Former NFL quarterback Chase Daniel shared his thoughts on Ward's untapped potential ahead of the draft after he studied his game film.
"He’s got the qualities to be a franchise quarterback," Daniels said, per Fox Sports' Ben Arthur. "I don’t think we have seen Cam Ward’s ceiling, and I do think that he can get a lot better."
He also highlighted the strength of this year's quarterback class, pointing out that while Ward is a projected No. 1 pick, he would not have been in the conversation last year.
"This is not a great top-end quarterback class," Daniels added, per Arthur. "If you were to take Cam Ward or Shedeur Sanders and put them in last year’s draft, they’d probably be QB6 or 7. … So I do think those two (Ward and Sanders) will probably get taken higher."
Despite the depth of this year's quarterback class, Ward's upside is undeniable, and the Titans need stability at the position as trade rumors swirl around Will Levis.
The chance to secure a No. 1 pick at quarterback outweighs any concerns about Levis' future with the team.
"Will Levis remains under contract for 2025," Bleacher Report Scouting Department's Dame Parson said. "However, he has not demonstrated enough for the organization to bypass the opportunity to draft a quarterback, instead relying solely on his development."
Drafting Ward to team up with Callahan, a former five-year offensive coordinator for the Cincinnati Bengals, and their enhanced offensive line would be a significant addition to Tennessee.
