Jaguars' Hypothetical Alvin Kamara Trade Offer
The wide receiver, a 2015 fifth-round pick out of Maryland, went on to become a four-time Pro Bowler with the Buffalo Bills.
After being traded to Houston, he played one season with the Texans before opting to become a free agent this offseason. He is now exploring his options, most recently with the Patriots.
The visit with the Patriots allowed them to assess how far Diggs has come. According to league sources, Diggs is ahead of schedule, running at full speed and gaining comfort in cutting and changing direction, per ESPN's Mike Reiss.
"We feel really excited about the some of the names that we've added. We still know there's a lot of work to be done," Patriots vice president Eliot Wolf said, per NFL.com. "(We've had) a lot of defensive adds, a few offensive adds, we're always looking. We're still looking. The Diggs' visit is part of that."
The visit also allowed Diggs to assess the Patriots' future with Mike Vrabel, who is desperate for a wide receiver to align with second-year quarterback Drake Maye.
