Aaron Rodgers Rumors: Steelers Are 'Fine Waiting' for QB's Decision amid Giants Buzz
The Pittsburgh Steelers are reportedly willing to be patient as Aaron Rodgers decides what his next move will be.
Per Fox Sports' Jordan Schultz, the Steelers "are fine waiting for Rodgers to make a decision," both on whether he'll play in 2025 and where he will sign. Schultz added that "money has not been an issue."
The New York Jets released Rodgers earlier this month, making him a free agent for the first time in his career. Rodgers is seemingly fine with having a lengthy free-agency period as ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Wednesday that the veteran quarterback "is in no rush at all" to make a decision.

2025 Draft Picks Ready For Leap 🐸

Jaguars' Hypothetical Alvin Kamara Trade Offer
The Minnesota Vikings, Rodgers' rumored first choice, are no longer pursuing him, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported Wednesday, which bodes well for the Steelers as they try to sway him to come to Pittsburgh. Still, the Steelers have to compete with the New York Giants for Rodgers.
The Athletic's Michael Silver, Dianna Russini and Alec Lewis reported last week that Rodgers put the Steelers and Giants "on hold" as he waited to hear back from the Vikings. Now that Minnesota is out of the race, it's likely a matter of which team can make the more compelling pitch to Rodgers.
Where Rodgers ends up signing could also be determined by the draft.
The Giants have the No. 3 overall pick and are widely projected to take a quarterback with that selection. Bleacher Report's NFL Scouting Department projects New York to trade up to No. 1 to select Colorado's Shedeur Sanders.
If the Giants take a quarterback and prefer Rodgers to back up that player, he might opt to go to Pittsburgh, where he can be the starter.
Rodgers, 31, threw for 3,897 yards, 28 touchdowns and 11 interceptions last year. He's clearly not the same player he once was, but he still seems capable of being the starter on a playoff-caliber team.
Where he'll end up remains to be seen, and it could be a while before he decides.
