The first season of Quarterback featured Cousins alongside Patrick Mahomes and Marcus Mariota when it aired in 2023.
The original series was followed by the 2024 release of Receiver, which featured Davante Adams, Justin Jefferson, George Kittle, Deebo Samuel and Amon-Ra St. Brown.
Cousins made his first appearance on Quarterback following his 2022 season with the Minnesota Vikings, during which he recorded one of the most productive seasons of his career before conceding a disappointing Wild Card loss to the New York Giants.
The veteran quarterback's second appearance on the show will feature a very different trajectory as it focuses on his 2024 campaign with the Atlanta Falcons. Cousins threw a league-high 16 interceptions in his first season with the team before losing his starting job to rookie Michael Penix Jr. in Week 15.
Quarterback covered a similar storyline in Season 1, when the show followed the Falcons benching Mariota in favor of then-rookie quarterback Desmond Ridder during the 2023 season.
Burrow meanwhile recovered from wrist surgery to record the first 17-game season of his NFL career in 2024. Despite orchestrating the NFL's best passing offense while pacing the league in both passing yards and passing touchdowns, Burrow ultimately saw his Cincinnati Bengals fall short of a playoff berth.
Goff made the lone postseason appearance of the trio after leading the Detroit Lions to a 15-2 record and the top seed in the NFC last season. That run didn't last long before the Lions suffered an upset divisional round loss to the rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders.
If Season 1 was any indication, the show will provide insight into the highs and lows of those three campaigns in addition to each quarterback's home life.
Quarterback is produced by NFL Films, Patrick Mahomes' 2PM Productions and Peyton Manning's Omaha Productions. The exact release date of Season 2 has yet to be announced.
