TGL Playoffs Bracket 2025: New York GC vs. Atlanta Drive Preview After Semis Results

The matchup for the first ever TGL championship is set after the conclusion of the semifinals on Tuesday.

Atlanta Drive GC downed the Bay Golf Club 9-3 on Tuesday after New York Golf Club's 6-4 upset victory over top-seeded Los Angeles Golf Club on Monday. The Finals Series will begin next Monday with Match 1 followed by Match 2 on Tuesday. If needed, a third match will also be played on Tuesday.

Los Angeles GC, led by Collin Morikawa, Justin Rose and Tommy Fleetwood, came into the postseason having lost just one previous match, but didn't have enough to leave with a win on Monday.

Rickie Fowler, Xander Schauffele and New York GC had an up-and-down season but did just enough to reach the playoffs, and they made the most of the opportunity with the upset win.

"I think you look at how we started out, you know, it was a poor start," Schauffele said after Monday's win. "I was watching from home [due to injury]. The boys started rallying. [Matt Fitzgerald] was with us today ... I think we're all pretty happy. We thought it was possible, but we knew it was going to be a long road. We're definitely happy to be here."

The Bay GC had a respectable season and rivaled Los Angeles GC for the top seed, but it was Atlanta Drive GC's night and Justin Thomas' squad secured the victory by the 12th hole.

Atlanta's Billy Horschel was especially impressive in the win, hitting all five of his greens in regulation.

Neither New York GC nor Atlanta Drive GC were the most impressive team this season. Both had a few missteps along the way and appeared to be in a different tier from Los Angeles GC and the Bay GC, but the two teams went into the postseason hot, which should make for a good matchup next week.

In their last meeting, Atlanta Drive GC shut out New York GC 4-0. New York has since found a bit more momentum and should come into next week's meeting prepared to compete.
