Daniel Jeremiah NFL Mock Draft: Dart to Steelers as Ward, Sanders Go to Titans, Giants

The Pittsburgh Steelers have yet to find a starting quarterback through the first week of free agency, and one expert believes they will address the position in the 2025 NFL draft.

NFL Network draft guru Daniel Jeremiah unveiled his third mock draft on Tuesday, and he predicted that the Steelers will use the No. 21 pick to select Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart.

"The Steelers’ plan at quarterback is not completely clear at the moment," Jeremiah explained. "Even if they were to land 41-year-old Aaron Rodgers, they would still need a long-term option at the position, so they take another swing here with Dart."

Dart was the third quarterback off the board in Jeremiah's mock draft, with Miami's Cam Ward being selected first overall by the Tennessee Titans and Colorado's Shedeur Sanders going at No. 3 to the New York Giants.

Dart has risen up draft boards thanks to his strong showings at the Senior Bowl and the NFL Scouting Combine. Many project him as the third-best quarterback in this year's class behind Ward and Sanders, though B/R's NFL Scouting Department ranked him fourth behind those two and Ohio State's Will Howard in its draft big board.

"Overall, Jaxson Dart has a good physical skill set to be an effective starting quarterback," B/R NFL scout Dame Parson wrote in his evaluation. "His ability to change up the speeds of his passes will translate well to the league. He is more than willing to take the check down underneath. Dart will need time to learn and adapt to an NFL offensive system. Live game reps will potentially be needed to develop his processing quickness."
