Topps revealed Monday a one-of-a-kind card featuring Los Angeles Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani.

The card includes Ohtani's autograph along with that of Japanese artist Takashi Murakami:

Thanks to its unique nature, this promises to be one of the most coveted cards around.

Professional Sports Authenticator, one of the biggest trading card grading services, said in March 2024 that Ohtani has the highest volume of any athlete, current or retired, in terms of grading submissions.

Last November, one of his rare rookie auto cards with a perfect grade fetched $533,140 at auction. In January, Cllct's Will Stern reported a 1-of-1 Topps Now card with Ohtani's autograph, which honored his 50/50 status, was going to auction and might reach $600,000.

Ohtani is a generational talent who might be at his apex. He's coming off a 2024 season in which he made history with his 54 home runs and 59 stolen bases, adding a National League MVP and World Series title for good measure.

Collectors have responded accordingly. The price for his trading cards and memorabilia continues trending up and up.
