Fans reacted to Josh Berry’s first-ever Cup Series victory on Sunday, making him the first driver to win in his inaugural Cup Series race at the Las Vegas track.

Notably, the last three NASCAR Cup Series winners, including last week's winner at Phoenix Raceway, Christopher Bell, finished just outside the top 10 in 12th place, more than eight seconds behind first place.

Chevrolet’s William Byron entered Sunday’s race in first place standings with 165 points and finished with 207 total points after a 12th-place finish in Stage 1, a second-place finish in Stage 2 and a fourth-place final position. Subaru’s Bell remains in second place with 178 points, while fellow Subaru driver Tyler Reddick is in third with 159 points.

In addition, Berry jumped 20 spots with a total of 119 points, now standing in 13th place after his first win.

Berry clocked his fastest lap at 29.383 seconds on lap 250 as he fought for the first-place finish.

Berry took his first lead on lap 234 over Suarez before losing it three laps later to Joey Logano. He reclaimed the lead on lap 254 with a decisive move to clear Suarez on the fourth turn and held the top spot for the remainder of the race.

The race saw 32 lead changes, setting a new track record for the most in a Cup Series event at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

The action will resume next Sunday at the Straight Talk Wireless 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
