Fantasy Baseball 2025 Rankings for Each Position and Latest Mock Draft
With the 2025 MLB season officially in the starting blocks, it's cram-session time for fantasy baseball managers preparing for their drafts.
That's why we're to hear to cram a lot of information into a digestible, helpful bit of digital space.
We're providing points league rankings (and a bonus sleeper!) for every position and closing with a 10-team, three-round mock draft to help you get ready for the real thing.
Infielders
1 of 4
First base
- Vladimir Guerror Jr., TOR
- Bryce Harper, PHI
- Freddie Freeman, LAD
- Pete Alonso, NYM
- Matt Olson, ATL
- Cody Bellinger, NYY
- Christian Walker, HOU
- Josh Naylor, ARI
- Triston Casas, BOS
- Vinnie Pasquantino, KC
Sleeper: Michael Toglia, COL
Last season was Toglia's first prolonged stint in the Majors, and all he did was slug 25 homers and steal 10 bases in 116 games. He'll be, at least, a must-start in every home game, but he could be worth using regardless of venue.
Second base
- Ketel Marte, ARI
- Ozzie Albies, ATL
- Jose Altuve, HOU
- Marcus Semien, TEX
- Jordan Westburg, BAL
- Matt McLain, CIN
- Xander Bogaerts, SD
- Luis García, WAS
- Nico Hoerner, CHC
- Brice Turang, MIL
Sleeper: Gleyber Torres, DET
An offseason move to the Tigers downgraded Torres' venue and lineup, but perhaps getting out of the New York City spotlight will help the 28-year-old rediscover his form. While he provided just 15 homers and four steals last season, he averaged 24.5 and 11.5, respectively, over the previous two campaigns.
Shortstop
- Bobby Witt Jr., KC
- Elly De La Cruz, CIN
- Mookie Betts, LAD
- Gunnar Henderson, BAL
- Francisco Lindor, NYM
- Trea Turner, PHI
- Corey Seager, TEX
- Willy Adames, SF
- Oneil Cruz, PIT
- CJ Abrams, WAS
Sleeper: Trevor Story, BOS
Story's availability issues are well-documented at this point—he has cleared the 100-game mark in just one of the past four seasons—but if he could ever stay healthy, his fantasy tools still impress. In 2022, his first season in Boston, he packed 16 homers, 13 steals and 119 combined runs and RBI into just 94 appearances.
Third base
- José Ramírez, CLE
- Austin Riley, ATL
- Rafael Devers, BOS
- Manny Machado, SD
- Jazz Chisholm Jr., NYY
- Alex Bregman, BOS
- Junior Caminero, TB
- Jordan Westburg, BAL
- Mark Vientos, NYM
- Jake Burger, TEX
Sleeper: Isaac Paredes, HOU
A key part of the Astros' return for Kyle Tucker, Paredes' pull-heavy approach should play perfectly in Daikin Park. He already has a 31-homer, 98-RBI season on his resume, and there's a non-zero chance he'll post similar marks this time around.
Catchers and Outfielders
2 of 4
Catcher
- William Contreras, MIL
- Adley Rutschman, BAL
- Willson Contreras, STL
- Yainer Diaz, HOU
- Salvador Pérez, KC
- Will Smith, LAD
- Cal Raleigh, SEA
- J.T. Realmuto, PHI
- Shea Langeliers, ATH
- Logan O'Hoppe, LAA
Sleeper: Sean Murphy, ATL
While it's not ideal Murphy is already shelved by a cracked rib, the ailment is something he can hopefully get out of the way early and still author a bounce-back season. In 2023, he had 21 homers, 68 RBI and a .251/.365/.478 slash line in only 108 games.
Outfield
- Aaron Judge, NYY
- Juan Soto, NYM
- Kyle Tucker, CHC
- Mookie Betts, LAD
- Corbin Carroll, ARI
- Fernando Tatís Jr., SD
- Yordan Alvarez, HOU
- Julio Rodríguez, SEA
- Jarren Duran, BOS
- Jackson Chourio, MIL
Sleeper: Lars Nootbaar, STL
The injury bug is an unfortunately familiar foe for Nootbaar, who's yet to reach the 120-game mark in any of his four MLB seasons. If he could ever conquer this issue, though, he projects as a helpful five-category contributor. He is a Statcast standout with career per-162-game averages of 19 homers, 10 steals, 75 runs, 60 RBI and a .246/.348/.425 slash line, per Baseball-Reference.com.
Pitchers
3 of 4
Starting pitcher
- Tarik Skubal, DET
- Paul Skenes, PIT
- Zack Wheeler, PHI
- Chris Sale, ATL
- Logan Gilbert, SEA
- Garrett Crochet, BOS
- Cole Ragans, KC
- Corbin Burnes, ARI
- Blake Snell, LAD
- Dylan Cease, SD
Sleeper: Robbie Ray, SF
With a changeup borrowed from Tarik Skubal and more distance between Ray and his May 2023 Tommy John surgery, all arrows point toward a potential return to form for the former Cy Young. If his health cooperates and his control is sharp, he has a shot to be one of fantasy's best hurlers.
Relief pitcher
- Emmanuel Clase, CLE
- Josh Hader, HOU
- Devin Williams, NYY
- Edwin Diaz, NYM
- Mason Miller, ATH
- Ryan Helsley, STL
- Raisel Iglesias, ATL
- Andrés Muñoz, SEA
- Ryan Walker, SF
- Jhoan Duran, MIN
Sleeper: Lucas Erceg, KC
Erceg might be in a fight for saves with Carlos Estévez, but Erceg is the better pitcher and should post good ratios, if nothing else, regardless of role. Last season, he had a useful 3.36 ERA (and better 2.53 FIP) with 72 strikeouts in his 61.2 innings pitched.
