NFL insider Josina Anderson previously reported the Eagles are "holding out hope for at least a fourth-round pick" in a potential trade for Goedert.
That fourth-rounder could come in a future draft like 2026 or 2027, per Anderson.
Goedert's expiring contract comes with a $11.8 million cap hit next season. According to Anderson, some teams would be interested in Goedert only with a salary adjustment and for a pick outside the fourth round.
Goedert has spent seven seasons with the Eagles. He most recently led Philadelphia's postseason receiving corps with 215 receiving yards on 20 targets.
If the Eagles are considering moving on from him this offseason, the team could be considering looking for his replacement in the upcoming NFL draft.
Trading Goedert as a post-June 1 move would cost the Eagles $7.8 million in dead cap while saving the team just over $4 million, per Over the Cap. The same costs would apply to a post-June 1 release, according to Over the Cap.
Huff, who is signed for two more seasons with $16.75 million remaining in guaranteed salary, would be much costlier to release. The Eagles risk taking on just under $20 million in dead cap (while saving $12.5 million) by cutting him after June 1, per Over the Cap.
Moving Huff in a post-June 1 trade would meanwhile net the team just over $1 million in total cap savings, per Over the Cap.
Huff, who became the Eagles' most expensive free-agent acquisition last offseason after a 10-sack season with the New York Jets, posted just 2.5 sacks through his first 10 games in Philadelphia.
After undergoing wrist surgery in November, Huff returned for the final two games of the regular season but was inactive during the playoffs. He ended the season as a healthy scratch in the Super Bowl.
The Eagles are at risk of losing half of that championship edge depth with Josh Sweat having left in free agency and Brandon Graham still unsigned.
