Cooper Kupp Rumors: Seahawks, Jaguars Eyed as Landing Spots After Rams Release
Wide receiver Cooper Kupp is looking for a new home after the Los Angeles Rams designated him as a post-June 1 cut, per ESPN's Adam Schefter, and multiple teams are reportedly interested in him.
According to ESPN's Dan Graziano, the Jacksonville Jaguars and Seattle Seahawks are among the potential suitors.
"Now that he's a free agent, I expect him to have interest. I've been hearing a lot of teams to watch out for with Cooper Kupp from Seattle to Jacksonville," Graziano said during a Thursday appearance on Get Up (7:30 mark). "โฆ I do believe he's got a market. He'll have interest. Veteran receiver who teams see as quarterback-friendly."

2025 Draft Picks Ready For Leap ๐ธ

Jaguars' Hypothetical Alvin Kamara Trade Offer
Signing him to what may end up being a team-friendly deal at this point of his career is surely far more intriguing to teams like the Jaguars and Seahawks than giving up draft capital in a potential trade would have been before the Rams released him.
While Kupp will be 32 years old during the 2025 season and has dealt with durability issues in recent seasons, he isn't that far removed from his dominant 2021 campaign when he led the league in catches (145), receiving yards (1,947) and touchdown catches (16).
He also won Super Bowl LVI MVP that season.
Jacksonville or Seattle likely wouldn't be getting that unstoppable version of Kupp, but he would still be a valuable addition to two receiver rooms that need impact playmakers.
The Seahawks no longer have DK Metcalf or Tyler Lockett and could use another pass-catcher alongside Jaxon Smith-Njigba. It would also make sense to improve the receiver group after adding quarterback Sam Darnold this offseason.
As for the Jaguars, they traded Christian Kirk to the Houston Texans and saw tight end Evan Engram join the Denver Broncos. Like Seattle with Smith-Njigba, Jacksonville needs another go-to option outside of Brian Thomas Jr.
Kupp could fill that role even at this stage of his career.
