Phillies' Bryce Harper Revealed as New Cover Athlete for MLB Rivals Video Game
MLB Rivals is getting an upgrade for the 2025 season, starting with Philadelphia Phillies star Bryce Harper serving as the cover athlete for this year's game.
Com2uS, developer and publisher of the game, announced Harper as the cover star on Thursday.
Harper will join Jung Hoo Lee of the San Francisco Giants and Yoshinobu Yamamoto of the Los Angeles Dodgers as the trio of global cover models for the game.

The announcement comes ahead of the start of the 2025 MLB season on March 18 when the Dodgers and Chicago Cubs will begin a two-game series at the Tokyo Dome in Japan.
MLB Rivals is an officially-licensed mobile game currently available to download in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. It's also available on PC, with the added bonus of direct-control pitching and hitting.
The big new feature for 2025 is a ranked tournament mode that allows gamers to play best-of-seven head-to-head series against each other. Players will earn rewards corresponding to the highest tournament round they reach.
This marks Harper's first time as a cover athlete for an MLB video game since 2019 when he was entering his first season with the Phillies. The eight-time All-Star remains one of the most dominant hitters in baseball heading into his 14th year.
Harper hit .285/.373/.525 with 30 homers in 2024. He led the Phillies to their third consecutive playoff appearance and first NL East title since 2011.
