McShay's top 15 about six weeks out from the draft are as follows:
1. Abdul Carter, EDGE, Penn State
2. Travis Hunter, WR/CB, Colorado
3. Mason Graham, DT, Michigan
4. Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State
5. Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State
6. Cam Ward, QB, Miami
7. Jalon Walker, EDGE, Georgia
8. Colston Loveland, TE, Michigan
9. Jahdae Barron, CB, Texas
10. Armand Membou, OT, Missouri
11. Omarion Hampton, RB, North Carolina
12. Will Campbell, OT, LSU
13. Jihaad Campbell, LB, Alabama
14. Shemar Stewart, EDGE, Texas A&M
15. Matthew Golden, WR, Texas
There weren't many surprising revelations near the top of McShay's big board, as Penn State pass-rusher Abdul Carter and Colorado two-way star Travis Hunter have seemingly settled in as the top two players in the class in the eyes of most experts.
McShay also has Miami's Cam Ward as his top quarterback at No. 6 overall, and all signs point toward him being the first signal-caller off the board.
Overall, McShay placed four quarterbacks in his top 32, including Colorado's Shedeur Sanders, who is the No. 2 quarterback on his big board.
However, McShay noted that he believes there is a bigger gap between Ward and Sanders than there is between Sanders and his Nos. 3 and 4 quarterbacks.
McShay ranked Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart as the No. 31 player on his board, which isn't particularly shocking, but he will undoubtedly raise some eyebrows with his decision to rank Louisville quarterback Tyler Shough at No. 32 overall.
Shough is viewed by most as a mid-to-late-round pick, but McShay sees something special in the journeyman who played at Oregon, Texas Tech and Louisville.
Although he is an older quarterback at 25 years of age, Shough is coming off his best collegiate season, throwing for 3,195 yards, 23 touchdowns and six interceptions.
While much of McShay's big board is in line with popular thinking, he is truly going out on a limb with Shough.
Whether NFL teams agree with his assessment will become apparent next month when the 2025 NFL draft is held in Green Bay from April 24-26.
