Video: Travis Hunter Says Shedeur Sanders is Used to Negativity amid NFL Draft Rumors

Shedeur Sanders has had the spotlight shining on him for several years now, and the attention has only grown ahead of the NFL draft.

The attention hasn't all been positive as Sanders has faced his fair share of criticism, but his former teammate Travis Hunter said the star quarterback is used to it.

"They're trying to knock Shedeur down and trying to build somebody up," Hunter said (7:09 mark). "That's kind of what I think it is. We're kind of used to it at this point after the 4-8 season at Colorado. So we're kind of used to it, just getting knocked down just for them to see that we're going to prove them wrong again."

Sanders and Hunter garnered plenty of hype ahead of their first season at Colorado, which led to plenty of negativity and doubt after the Buffaloes went 4-8 in 2023.

As Hunter said, they were then able to prove those doubters wrong with a strong second season, and now Sanders and Hunter are on their way to potentially being top-five picks in the upcoming draft.

Sanders, who threw for 4,134 yards, 37 touchdowns and 10 interceptions in 2024, is projected to be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 draft by Bleacher Report's Scouting Department.

Hunter, who won the Heisman Trophy behind 1,258 receiving yards, 15 touchdowns and four interceptions, is projected to go fourth overall.
