Video: Maxx Crosby Talks Historic New Raiders Contract; 'This S--t is Such a Blessing'
Maxx Crosby had plenty of reasons to want out of Las Vegas this offseason, but the star defensive end opted to stay with the team that drafted him rather than leaving for a team better equipped to compete.
Crosby signed a three-year, $106.5 million extension with the Raiders which made him the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history until Myles Garret signed a new contract with the Cleveland Browns.
Crosby expressed his gratitude for being able to stay with Las Vegas on his podcast, The Rush with Maxx Crosby.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
"Looking back and seeing how far we've come in such a short time and all the work that's been put in, the sacrifice, I gave my life to this s--t," Crosby said (5:30 mark). "I don't even have words for it. This s--t is such a blessing. Now I just get to focus on football and what matters most and that's truly all I want to do."
Crosby has been one of the best defensive players in the league since his debut in 2019. In his last fully-healthy season in 2023, Crosby racked up 90 tackles and 14.5 sacks. He missed five games in 2024, but still finished with 45 tackles and 7.5 sacks.
Now, any speculation about Crosby's potential departure has ceased and he and the Raiders can focus on getting better.
It's been a rocky three years in Las Vegas, but 2025 could be the year the team gets things back on track. The Raiders will welcome a new coach in Pete Carroll and have a new quarterback under center after trading for Geno Smith. They also are armed with the No. 6 pick in this year's draft.
Perhaps the biggest win of the offseason was extending Crosby.
