DK Metcalf Trade Rumors: 'Everybody' in the NFL Thinks Patriots Land Seahawks Star WR
NFL insiders reportedly believe DK Metcalf and Drake Maye are set to team up next season.
"Everybody's saying DK to New England," NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah said Friday on The Pat McAfee Show. "Everybody in the league thinks that."
Jeremiah continued: "Just talked to a bunch of buddies around the league, and they're like, 'That just makes too much sense. They have all the money. They have all the space. They have no weapon.'"

Jaguars' Hypothetical Alvin Kamara Trade Offer
Jeremiah went on to suggest the Patriots could trade their No. 38 pick to pick up Metcalf.
NFL Network's Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport reported Wednesday that Metcalf had requested a trade and that the Seahawks had "agreed to explore options" for the wide receiver.
Pelissero then said in a Friday appearance on The Rich Eisen Show that Metcalf "could be the first domino in the receiver market."
He added that a Metcalf trade "potentially could even happen as soon as this weekend."
The Patriots will have competition to trade for Metcalf. Pelissero said there are a "bunch of teams" interested in a potential trade.
ESPN's Adam Schefter has also reported that Metcalf would prefer to play for a contender, opening the possibility he will seek a team with a closer championship window.
What the Patriots can offer, however, is matching the $30 million per year Metcalf is reportedly seeking. The Patriots enter potential negotiations with an NFL-high $125 million in projected salary-cap space, per Over the Cap.
The Patriots were previously tied to an interest in Cincinnati Bengals wideout Tee Higgins. Now that Higgins has received a franchise tag for the Bengals, the Patriots will need to look elsewhere to add talent around Maye ahead of his second NFL season.
