Daniel Jeremiah Compares Ashton Jeanty to 'Mixture' of Dalvin Cook, J.K. Dobbins
Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty drew comparisons to Dalvin Cook and J.K. Dobbins for his style of play in the latest big board from NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah.
"Overall, Jeanty might lack ideal size, but he’s a mixture of Dalvin Cook and J.K. Dobbins as a runner," Jeremiah wrote.
Jeanty was dominant with the Broncos in 2024, leading the country by rushing for 2,601 yards while scoring 30 total touchdowns. He also averaged 7.0 yards per carry, routinely evading defenders and breaking tackles.

Although Cook only picked up 20 yards in two appearances with the Dallas Cowboys last season, he surpassed 1,100 rushing yards in four consecutive years from 2019 to '22.
He was also known for his tough rushing style, ranking No. 2 in the NFL with 33 broken tackles during his 2020 campaign (via Pro Football Reference).
Dobbins operated similarly during a 2024 season in which he racked up 1,058 yards from scrimmage with the Los Angeles Chargers, totaling the fifth-most broken tackles in the league.
As for Jeanty, he was ranked as the No. 1 running back and No. 8 overall prospect in the 2025 draft class on the latest big board from Bleacher Report's NFL Scouting Department.
B/R NFL Scout Dame Parson compared the 21-year-old to former Pro Bowl running back DeAngelo Williams in his scouting report.
