Daniel Jeremiah 2025 NFL Draft Big Board: Shedeur Sanders Falls After Combine
Shedeur Sanders' position took a hit following the scouting combine in the latest 2025 NFL Draft Big Board from NFL Media's Daniel Jeremiah.
Sanders was ranked as the No. 18 prospect in the incoming class, down three spots from Jeremiah's previous Big Board.
Jeremiah described Sanders as a "slightly undersized quarterback with outstanding touch, accuracy and toughness" in his scouting report of the former Colorado quarterback:

Jaguars' Hypothetical Alvin Kamara Trade Offer
He relies more on timing and anticipation than pure velocity. He isnโt a sudden/twitchy mover when pressured, and thatโs part of the reason why he took so many sacks over the past two seasons. Still, the main culprit was poor protection. Despite taking some hellacious hits, he hangs in the pocket and doesnโt drop his eyes to see the rush. His toughness is unquestionable. Overall, Sanders doesnโt have elite size, arm strength or athleticism, but he can find success in an offense based on timing and ball placement.
The Colorado quarterback's position dropped in part because of major jumps from Texas wide receiver Matthew Golden (No. 15, up seven spots) and Ohio State wide receiver Emeka Egbuka (No. 17, up six spots.)
Golden had a strong NFL combine, including a 4.29-second 40-yard dash that caught the eyes of scouts.
Egbuka didn't work out at the combine but is considered a draft riser by analysts, including ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr.
Sanders' draft stock has taken a hit in multiple mock drafts during the week following the combine, where the Colorado quarterback didn't work out but did hold interviews with teams.
Reports from NFL insiders Josina Anderson and Todd McShay indicated that some teams left these interviews with negative impressions of Sanders, while Sportskeeda's Tony Paulineย reported that "teams are cooling on Shedeur Sanders for a number of reasons."
Sanders, who recently said not to read into reports about his falling draft stock, will get the opportunity to improve his standing during Colorado's upcoming pro day. The date of the event in Boulder has yet to be announced.
