Travis Kelce: Travis Hunter Has 'Proven He Needs to Play' WR and CB Ahead of NFL Draft
One of the biggest debates heading into the NFL draft is whether Colorado two-way star Travis Hunter will play offense, defense or both at the professional level.
Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce weighed in on the conversation, suggesting that it makes sense to use Hunter primarily as a defensive back but allow him to come in during certain packages on offense.
"I think he's proven that he needs to play on both sides of the ball," Kelce said on New Heights (34:40 mark). "I think it's easier for him to be on the field all the time as a defensive player and then offensively, coming in on certain plays. I think that is so much easier."

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Hunter was a standout on both sides of the ball, but he was primarily used on offense with Colorado. He had 1,258 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns in his final season with the Buffs.
While he was slightly more productive as a receiver, Hunter also racked up 35 tackles, four interceptions, 11 passes defended and a forced fumble on defense.
Hunter hasn't said whether his preference is offense or defense, but he did express interest in playing both in the NFL.
“I’d like to play both sides of the ball,” Hunter told reporters at the NFL combine. “If they give me the opportunity to play both sides of the ball, I’m going to play both sides.”
Bleacher Report's NFL Scouting Department lists Hunter as the top overall prospect in this year's draft class and projected him to be the No. 4 pick to the New England Patriots in the latest mock draft.
