For the second time in his career, Roman Reigns is the cover athlete for WWE 2K.
The first time, the second-generation star shared the cover with Becky Lynch, marking the only time in the franchise's history that two Superstars appeared on the standard version of the cover.
The less said about that edition of the game, though, the better.
This a different Reigns than that one. This is the industry leader, the top star in the sport. This is The Tribal Chief, the Head of the Table. He is his fully realized self, fresh off a four-year reign as undisputed WWE universal champion and the leader of a Bloodline Saga that saw him elevate countless stars to new levels of superstardom, including Jey Uso, winner of the 2025 Royal Rumble and No. 1 contender to the world heavyweight title.
Not only is Reigns the cover star of this year's game, he is the centerpiece of it, especially with the Showcase mode dedicated to the The Bloodline and the new out-of-ring mode, The Island, at least partly dedicated to him and his family's legacy.
This year's game is, at least in some ways, a testament to the run he enjoyed atop WWE for the better part of the last half decade and the heights to which he helped carry the company.
Reigns also appears on the cover for the Bloodline Edition of the game, while the legendary, Hall of Famer The Undertaker covers the Deadman Edition.
New Editions to This Year's Roster

One of the most buzzed-about features in any WWE 2K presentation is the depth of the roster and the new Superstars fans can play as for the first time.
This year brings with it several exciting additions, none more higher-profile than The Bloodline's Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, and Tanga Loa.
After taking over the company for the better part of 2024 amid Reigns' absence, they re set to dominate this year's game. Fatu, in particular, figures to be one of the most popular Superstars to play with, thanks to his combination of power, speed, and athleticism.
The Wyatt Sicks make their first appearance as a unit in the game, complete with their new attire, look, and entrance. Uncle Howdy, Erick Rowan, Joe Gacy, Dexter Lumis, and Nikki Cross are available to those who pre-order WWE 2K25's standard edition or to this collectors who purchase The Bloodline or Deadman Editions.
NXT standouts such as current world champion Oba Femi, Lola Vice, Eddie Thorpe, Kelani Jordan, Je'Von Evans, and Lexis King all make their first appearances in a WWE game, too, as does "All Ego" Ethan Page, ensuring fans can play with as many favorites from the black and silver brand as possible.
Those Superstars top a roster that includes all of the other fan-favorites, from Cody Rhodes and CM Punk to legends such as "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and "Macho Man" Randy Savage.
With downloadable content not fully announced as of yet, this year's game figures to have one of the deepest rosters ever.
New Features

Fans who have long awaited the return of intergender wrestling will be excited to know that it is back and better than ever in WWE 2K25.
Now, you can recreate favorite moments, including Chyna winning the Intercontinental Championship, Nia Jax entering the Men's Royal Rumble, or Rhea Ripley beating Dominik Mysterio into mush.
Elsewhere, Playstation 5 and XBox Series X/S can exit the squared circle and enter The Island, an immersive new mode that allows gamers to play different quests and challenges, outfit their created Superstar using Nike and Jordan brands, and compete in other matches, all while winning the favor of Reigns.
Not yet had your fill of The OTC?
This year's Showcase mode features the Samoan dynasty and allows players to compete with the likes of Yokozuna, The Wild Samoans, The Islanders, The Usos, 3 Minute Warning, and The Tribal Chief himself while reliving, recreating, and making history.
Players can relive the death of Hulkamania in WWE at the hands of the mighty Yokozuna at King of the Ring 1993, utilize Afa and Sika for a first-time ever match-up against The Dudley Boyz, and control Reigns, The Usos, and Sami Zayn as they battle the new Bloodline inside War Games.
