Roki Sasaki's Dodgers Spring Training Debut Has MLB Fans Excited for Rookie Season
Roki Sasaki has arrived.
The highly-anticipated Japanese star made his spring training debut for the Los Angeles Dodgers on Tuesday and already looked ready to dominate the majors. He pitched just three innings but recorded five strikeouts and gave up just two hits and a walk in his first outing.
It's clear Sasaki has the velocity of an MLB pitcher as his pitches averaged 98.4 mph and topped out at 99.3 mph. But it wasn't just his velocity that impressed fans as he also featured a filthy splitter that is bound to cause opposing hitters issues this season.

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
After Sasaki's debut, fans hyped the newest Dodgers star as he nears the start of his rookie season.
Sasaki's debut is just a small sample size, but it seems obvious he's just as good if not better than advertised.
The Dodgers, fresh off a World Series victory over the New York Yankees, are looking to become the first back-to-back champions since the Yankees three-peated from 1998 to 2000. It's fair to say Los Angeles' rotation will be World Series-ready with the addition of Sasaki.
