Davante Adams Landing Spots Odds: Packers, Chargers Favored After Jets Release
Davante Adams is on his way out of New York after the Jets released him on Tuesday.
After the somewhat expected move, the veteran wide receiver will now spend the next few weeks fielding offers from teams and deciding what his next move will be.
The odds for his next team, via DraftKings Sportsbook, favor Adams' former team, the Green Bay Packers (+165), followed by the Los Angeles Chargers (+550) and San Francisco 49ers (+550).

2025 Draft Picks Ready For Leap 🐸

Jaguars' Hypothetical Alvin Kamara Trade Offer
Adams, who was traded from the Las Vegas Raiders to the Jets halfway through the 2024 season, will enter free agency for the first time following his release from New York.
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Jets tried to trade Adams and did have "some interest," but ultimately couldn't move him. Rapoport added that Adams "could end up on the West Coast."
The Packers could be a good fit for Adams for more than just sentimental reasons, though it helps that he spent eight years in Green Bay. The Packers are trending upwards with Jordan Love under center, but the team is lacking an elite receiver. Adams could be just that as well as a veteran presence in a young locker room.
If he doesn't reunite with his former squad, Adams could be a great fit in the Chargers offense. Los Angeles has a clear WR1 in Ladd McConkey, who had 1,149 yards and seven touchdowns as a rookie, but Adams would be a solid second option for Justin Hebert.
The 49ers also make sense for Adams for multiple reasons. From a football perspective, San Francisco could use another wideout after trading Deebo Samuel to the Washington Commanders. Playing for the 49ers would also mean Adams could be close to his nearby hometown of Palo Alto.
Wherever he ends up, Adams will look to continue playing at a high level. Though he struggled at times, Adams recorded his fourth consecutive season with 1,000 or more yards in 2024, adding eight touchdowns.
