NFL Rumors: Stefon Diggs to Have 'Real Market' in Free Agency; 50-50 Return to Texans
Stefon Diggs' time with the Houston Texans could be over after just one season.
Per NBC Sports' Matthew Berry, a team source said Diggs has a "real market" despite his age and the torn ACL he suffered last season. Berry added that a source said Diggs' return to Houston is "50/50."
Berry noted that the "real market" around Diggs comes amid teams being "desperate" for wide receivers during a year where there aren't many on the market. The top receiver set to hit free agency was likely Tee Higgins, but the Cincinnati Bengals used a franchise tag to keep him off the market.

Other receivers like Chris Godwin and Amari Cooper are set to become free agents, and Diggs is arguably near the top of the list alongside those names.
Diggs played just eight games in 2024 because of the torn ACL, recording 496 yards and three touchdowns. While he lost most of the season due to injury, Diggs had recorded six consecutive 1,000-plus receiving yard seasons.
In his last healthy season in 2023, Diggs had 1,183 yards and eight touchdowns.
It's hard to say whether he'll be the same player when he returns from injury, but plenty of teams will likely be willing to take a gamble on him.
