Rams Reportedly Trade Jonah Jackson to Bears amid Matthew Stafford, Cooper Kupp Buzz
The Los Angeles Rams chose not to trade away quarterback Matthew Stafford and have yet to find a trade partner for wide receiver Cooper Kupp, but they reportedly dealt another veteran on Tuesday.
ESPN's Adam Schefter and Courtney Cronin reported that the Rams traded veteran guard Jonah Jackson to the Chicago Bears in exchange for a 2025 sixth-round pick.

2025 Draft Picks Ready For Leap 🐸

Jaguars' Hypothetical Alvin Kamara Trade Offer
It was just a year ago that Jackson signed a three-year, $51 million deal with the Rams as a free agent. Despite spending his career as a left guard, he was named Los Angeles' starting center for Week 1 of the 2024 season. Unfortunately, he fractured his scapula in Week 2 and was placed on injured reserve until November, limiting him to just four games.
A third-round pick in the 2020 NFL draft, Jackson spent the first four years of his career with the Detroit Lions. After a strong 2021 season, he earned a spot in the Pro Bowl as an injury replacement.
Jackson is now the first new addition to a Bears offensive line that is expected to be rebuilt this offseason. 2024 No. 1 pick Caleb Williams was sacked a league-high 68 times during his rookie year in Chicago, so first-year head coach Ben Johnson's priority will be to keep him upright for 2025 and beyond.
The Rams still have some work to do as they try to retool for the upcoming campaign. They reached an agreement with Stafford on a restructured deal to avoid losing the veteran signal-caller, but finding a deal for Kupp has proven difficult after informing him that he will be traded despite his desire to stay with the team.
