NFL Draft 2025 Rumors: Titans Not Ready to Engage in Trade Talks for No. 1 Pick
The Tennessee Titans are on the clock with the No. 1 pick for the 2025 NFL draft, and they reportedly are not ready to seriously contemplate changing that at the moment.
On Monday, Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated reported the New York Giants reached out to Tennessee to gauge what it would cost to land the No. 1 pick in a trade. However, Breer noted "Tennessee has told teams that, at this point, it isn't yet to the point in its evaluation of the process to engage in those discussions."
This isn't the first suggestion the Giants are interested in the top pick, as Connor Hughes of SNY reported Sunday that New York is expected to focus on trading for the No. 1 selection to draft a quarterback all while adding a veteran signal-caller to pair with the rookie.

2025 Draft Picks Ready For Leap 🐸

Jaguars' Hypothetical Alvin Kamara Trade Offer
Hughes listed Aaron Rodgers, Sam Darnold and Russell Wilson as possibilities and reported everyone he has talked with ranks Cam Ward ahead of Shedeur Sanders when it comes to potential signal-callers who could go No. 1 overall.
Yet the Titans are the ones with that first pick, and they have long-term uncertainty at the quarterback position as well considering Will Levis hasn't exactly looked like the surefire face of the franchise for the next decade to this point of his career.
If Tennessee's front office evaluates the situation and decides it needs to reset moving forward with a new franchise quarterback and likes Ward, that No. 1 pick will likely never go for sale.
After all, figuring out the quarterback spot is the most important thing for any franchise, and the opportunity to pick Ward could be too enticing to pass up.
However, the front office could also decide the top of this quarterback class isn't worth using the No. 1 pick on and adjust accordingly.
If that is the case, a trade becomes a real possibility, especially since potential top pick Abdul Carter is dealing with a foot injury that may require surgery. The Titans may not want to take a chance on Carter either or could see a path to take him at No. 3 if the quarterback-needy Giants move up with a trade.
Time is firmly on the Titans' side, though, as the first round of the draft isn't until April 24.
They will surely evaluate prospects at various pro days, perhaps adjust their roster through free agency and then make the proper decision regarding a potential trade or not when the draft is closer.
