NFL Draft 2025 Rumors: 2 Teams Feel Jaxson Dart Will Go in Top Half of 1st Round
Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart may not have to wait long to hear his name called in the first round of the 2025 NFL draft.
Jeff Howe of The Athletic reported Monday that "two teams strongly believed" Dart would be selected within the "top half of the opening round."
Teams also expressed belief that Dart "solidified himself as a first-rounder" during the Senior Bowl, per Howe.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
He participated in throwing drills at the 2025 NFL scouting combine, completing 18 of his 23 pass attempts while showcasing his arm talent (h/t Dan Rorabaugh of The Palm Beach Post).
The 21-year-old wrapped up an efficient season with the Rebels in 2024, completing 69.3 percent of his throws while leading all SEC players with 4,279 passing yards. He also recorded 32 total touchdowns while tossing six interceptions.
Dart wasn't selected in the most recent first-round mock draft from Bleacher Report's NFL Scouting Department, but B/R NFL Scout Dame Parson still viewed the signal-caller as a capable future starter.
"Overall, Jaxson Dart has a good physical skill set to be an effective starting quarterback," Parson wrote in his scouting report. "His ability to change up the speeds of his passes will translate well to the league. He is more than willing to take the check down underneath."
Following his performance at the combine, Dart's draft stock appears to be rising.
