Napheesa Collier, Lunar Owls Hyped By Fans in Unrivaled Win vs. Rhyne Howard, Vinyl

Napheesa Collier and Skylar Diggins-Smith helped lead the Lunar Owls to a 78-72 win over Vinyl BC on Saturday, improving to 10-1 and staying atop the Unrivaled standings.

Vinyl BC led by as many as nine points in the third quarter, but the Lunar Owls stormed back to take a three-point lead entering the fourth. Both teams traded baskets before Allisha Gray eventually connected on a game-winning free throw.

Collier struggled with her jumper, but she remained efficient by finishing with 16 points and hitting 57.1 percent of her field-goal attempts. She also pulled down nine rebounds and blocked two shots.

Diggins-Smith finished with a team-high 27 points, shooting 11-16 from the field and hitting one of her two attempts from behind the arc. The six-time WNBA All-Star recorded five assists and three rebounds as well.

Fans were amazed by the performance from Collier and the Lunar Owls.

For Vinyl BC, Rhyne Howard scored 18 points but she shot just 6-19 from the field. This included a 4-13 mark from three-point territory.

Dearica Hamby finished with a game-high 31 points and 11 rebounds, but it wasn't enough for Vinyl BC to emerge victorious.

With the win, the Lunar Owls now hold a comfortable 3.5-game lead for the No. 1 spot in the Unrivaled standings.
