Shedeur Sanders Rumors: 'Sense' QB Could Fall to Raiders at No. 6 in 2025 NFL Draft
The Las Vegas Raiders reportedly may not have to make a trade to land Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Vic Tafur of The Athletic reported that the "gap has widened" between Sanders and fellow 2025 draft prospect Cam Ward and that the "sense among other teams" is Sanders will still be available for the Raiders at No. 6.
Additionally, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported Saturday that Ward has emerged as the top quarterback while Sanders is in contention for the No. 2 quarterback, but that it is not yet settled.

Jaguars' Hypothetical Alvin Kamara Trade Offer
"It is Cam Ward right now and then everyone else," Rapoport said. "If a quarterback goes No. 1, it is likely him."
Sanders did not participate in the on-field portion of combine but did interview with teams. Rapoport reported that Sanders "acquitted" himself during the interviews and spoke about his experience at FCS Jackson State and then his transfer to Colorado and how he helped rebuild both programs.
Sanders threw for 4,134 yards with 37 touchdowns and 10 interceptions in 2024 while leading Colorado to a 9-4 record and an appearance in the Alamo Bowl.
He is rated as the No. 16 prospect and No. 2 quarterback in the 2025 class by Bleacher Report's NFL Scouting Department. He will have more opportunities to prove himself at his Pro Day and further interviews ahead of the Draft.
The 2025 NFL Draft is set for April 24-26 in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
